KEY MOMENTS
LH = Lakenheath
GR = Godmanchester Rovers
11' - LH - GOAL (1-0) - Young bursts through down the left wing and into the box where he is brought down by a mis-timed challenge. The referee points to the penalty spot and up steps captain Hawley. His penalty is fired to the left of the goal, the goalie dives well and gets a hand to the ball, but it was not enough and it is deflected into the top netting.
18' - GR - The No. 6 cuts left and right on the edge of the box and makes the room for a low strike heading for the corner which is saved well by Beckwith. The rebound is fired in, but the player came from an offside position and the goal was ruled out.
29' - LH - Debenham powers in a header at the far post from a Peters corner, it flashes across the goal, narrowly wide.
33' - LH - GOAL (2-0) - Peters goes on a probing run down the left flank all the way to the by-line where he cuts the ball back to goal poacher Thulborn, who makes no mistake from close range.
43' - LH - GOAL (3-0) - Phillips nods down a corner ball for Thulborn who powers home from a tight angle in the box.
Half-time - LH make 6 changes at half-time, with Avis, Banks and Hammond amongst the players coming on.
50' - GR - GOAL (3-1) - I missed the build-up to this goal due to parenting duties, I just saw what looked like the No. 14 (possibly No. 10) slotting home from close-range.
80' - GR - The No. 12 charges through the middle of the park and cracks off a 20-yard strike that was heading into the left-side of the goal, but Beckwith dives and tips the ball out for a corner.
89' - LH - GOAL (4-1) - Manels picks up a long, deep diagonal ball, cuts in towards goal and squares it to the onrushing Avis who makes no mistake to fire in from close range.
92' - GR - The No. 11 is through down the right wing, although he did look to be offside, but nevertheless, he charges through on goal and shoots, but Beckwith is equal to the challenge and makes an excellent save to deny GR a late consolation goal.
